Informal reception with networking

takes place in a stylish, attractive ambient of the Transport Museum in Bratislava. The establishment is situated in the railway yard of the first station of a steam railway in Bratislava built in 19th century, together with the adjoining warehouses. The road transport is presented by a collection of vehicles, from the first vehicles with and without an engine, to bikes, passenger cars and lorries of the interwar period, to the cars from 1960s and 1970s. The conference guests will be surely attracted by the prototype cars developed in Slovak motor works after the WWII, and also by the military vehicles. On the railway yard a selection of the steam, diesel, and electric engines may be admired, together with freight wagons and special railway vehicles of the Slovak railways.

One of the exhibition halls in the museum is devoted to the exposition of railway signalling, interlocking, and communication technology, uniforms, and other artefacts pertinent to the history of the railway transport on the today Slovak territory.

For our guests a rich reception is prepared, based on variations of the traditional dishes of the Slovak cuisine, and also a folklore programme.

The gala-evening of the IRIC 2012 conference commences on Monday 5th November 2012 at 19:30. The special buses for transferring guests from the NH Gate One Hotel are available at 19 o’clock.
